For the sealing procedure to be effective, it should be carried out as early as possible - preferably in children aged 6 to 8 years.
Removing tartar, also called scaling, is a necessary procedure not only for hygienic reasons, but also for aesthetic reasons. It should be performed especially in people who are at risk of periodontitis - its purpose is to prevent exposure of the tooth necks. Scaling should be done twice a year, in more serious cases - from 3 to 6 times a year.
Its aim is to remove dental plaque and discoloration caused by, among others, smoking or drinking coffee and tea. Depending on the condition of your teeth, sandblasting should be done every few months. This treatment uses a special device from which a mixture of sodium bicarbonate, water and air escapes under pressure, removing sediment from the enamel surface. Sandblasting is also used as preparation for tooth whitening and scaling.
It involves the application of gel, foam or varnish with a high concentration of fluorine. It is recommended to do it after professional teeth cleaning. Fluorine varnishing strengthens the teeth and increases their resistance to caries. It also reduces the sensitivity of exposed tooth necks. It is recommended to perform this treatment twice a year.
